The Ngorongoro Crater is a geological marvel and a world-renowned conservation area located in northern Tanzania. It is part of the larger Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which encompasses a diverse range of landscapes and ecosystems. The crater itself is the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world, with a diameter of about 12 miles (19 kilometers) and a floor covering an area of approximately 102 square miles (264 square kilometers). It was formed millions of years ago when a massive volcano erupted and collapsed upon itself, creating a natural enclosure that now serves as a home to an exceptional concentration of wildlife. The crater is inhabited by a rich array of animal species, including elephants, lions, zebras, wildebeests, buffalos, and the endangered black rhinoceros, among many others. The unique topography and fertile soils support an abundance of vegetation, sustaining a complex ecosystem that sustains the diverse wildlife population.

You will be picked at your hotel by our driver and get into a safari jeep and depart from Arusha by begining with a road drive to Ngorongoro crossing Mto Wa Mbu and Karatu town, along the way you'll catch in the transposing landscape as Arusha's urban jungle, is replaced by wide open plains, charming Masai and Iraq(Mburu) villages.
Upon after arrival at Ngorongoro entrance gate, check in proccess requred, after completing the necessary registration formalities at loduare at a gate, you will start descending the ngorongoro crater while our expert guide will share his in-depth knowledge with you. Named the 8th wonder of the world with an all year around animal movement from Africa buffalo, black rhinoceros to the lion cubs and wildebeests, a day trip here will leave you with catchy memories. Game drive will continue until after noon were you will stop for lunch time, a picnic lunch will be taken inside the crater floor and later in the afternoon you will continue with a short game and then ascend the crater and checkout the Ngorongoro Crater and area in general.
On the end of game drive you will drive heading back to the park's gate for checking out, after checking out the permit you shall have a drive back to Arusha/Moshi and this will be end of the tour.
