This Group join 9 days Kilimanjaro means an open group for solo or couple to join with other climbers in the same schedule, time duration, group tour might be your fantastic style of attending Mt Kilimanjaro and successful summit while you are interacting with different climbers from different corner of the world. This may be your chance to learn and exchange different knowledge and experince in hiking and other topics. With a group you need to be awear that some of the service will be in terms of sharing such as: Transport, Food, Guide, Cook, and porters.
Addtionally, altitude sickness is a serious concern, which is why acclimatization is critical to ensuring a safe and successful ascent. Passing in the Cultivation Zone (800-1,800 meters) characterized by agriculture, Rainforest Zone (1800-2800 meters) characterized by lush, tropical rainforest with abundant wildlife. Heath and Moorland Zone (2,800-4,00 meters) characterized by health and moorland vegetation, and it has a cool, windly climate. Alpine Desert Zone (4,00-5,000 meters) characterized by rocky terrain, sparse vegetation, and a very dry climate. Summit Zone(above 5,000 meters) This is the highest zone, and it is characterized by snow and ice. The highest point on Kil;imanjaro is Uhuru Peak, which is 5,895 meters (19,341 feets) above sea level.
The Lemosho route is one of the 6 published and popular routes and considered as the most scenic route in mt:Kilimanjaro for hiking and successiful summit with higher rate. The lemosho route is longer enough to complete, which allows for better accllimatization to the high altitude, increasing the chances of reaching the summit successfully. From day-to-day first to last day, particularly to 8 days package; Day 1: at 2,650m/8,694ft, Day 2: at 3,505m/11,499ft, Day 3: at 3,840m/12,598ft, Day 4: at 3950m/12,960ft, Day 5: at 4,035m, Day 6: at 4,673m, Day 7: at the peak 5895M, then descend to Mweka Camp, then Day 8: to Mweka Gate as end of the tour. In terms of success rate, the Lemosho route has a higher success rate ranging 70% - 95% (8-day - 90s%) compared to other routes on Kilimanjaro again due to its longer duration and better acclimatization profile.

Get some rest as you prepare yourself for an amazing adventure of 8 Days lemosho route Kilimanjaro climbing.

Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch & DinnerDeparture will commence from moshi as we head to londorossi gate for registration, the drive will only take about 4 hours, and from there we will drive to lemosho trailhead. Lunch will be offered on arrival and then will proceed through the lush, green forest which leads to the first camp.
Depart from your camp after an early breakfast and begin your ascent into the heather moorland zone. We will come across a good number of streams and trek on a plateau that leads to shira 2 campsite (3840m). The site is located near a stream and offers an incredible view of the western breach and its glaciers in the east. Your tents will be put up before your arrival by your crew. After arrival relax and enjoy evening snacks and a tasty drive. Beware the temperature here can be freezing.
On this day we traverse though the shira plateau for the whole day.
We will keep trekking towards shira camp 2 and join hikers from the machame route whilst indulging in the beautiful scenery across the valley below and western breach of Kilimanjaro above. Proceed to shira caldera and diverge to an off - the - beaten path to moir hut. This is a site at the base of lent hills. You can opt to take walks on lent hills, which can be the best for acclimatization.
After an early morning breakfast your group will depart from shira camp and enter the desert and rocky landscape. You shall cross Lava-Tower for acclimatization altitude gain, after a five hour long walk. Typically You may feel some discomfort due to the high altitud. Thi trek is through the alpine desert zone, descend into the Barranco Valley, and conquer the Barranco Wall.
e start this day by descending to the base of the intimidating barranco wall. Afterwards we hike the non – technical yet steep cliff. From the top of barranco we go across a sequence of hill and valleys until we descend into karanga valley. The day is short to improve acclimatization.
We depart from karanga and reach the intersection which connects with mweka trail. We then proceed to barafu hut. This will be the completion of southern route which offers a spectacular view of the summit from different angles. Here we will rest and enjoy a tasteful early dinner as we prepare for the summit on the next day. The two peaks of kibo and mawenzi are clearly visible here.
On this day we will push our way to the summit our trek will begin around midnight, this can a bit more physically and mentally challenging compared to the other parts of the trek.
After reaching Stella Point (18,600ft), we will take a short rest and will be rewarded with the most magnificent sunrise you are ever likely to see (weather permitting). From Stella Point, snow may be encountered all the way on our 1-hour ascent to the summit. Your time at Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa will be brief. Take as many pictures as you want, enjoy your accomplishment and then start heading back to Stella Point.
From the summit, we will immediately start our descent straight down to the Mweka Hut camp site, stopping at Barafu for lunch. . The trail is rocky and can be quite hard on the knees; trekking poles are useful. Mweka Camp is situated in the upper forest and mist or rain can be expected in the late afternoon. We will later enjoy our last dinner on the mountain and take a well-earned rest.
From the Crater Camp, we start our thrilling descent to the Mweka Hut camp site, having a stop at Barafu for lunch. The trail is rocky and can be quite hard on the knees; trekking poles are useful. Mweka Camp is situated in the upper forest and mist or rain can be expected in the late afternoon. We will later enjoy our last dinner on the mountain and take a well-earned rest. Following a well-earned breakfast, we will have a celebration with all the team and afterwards will have a three hours walk to mweka gate. Upon arrival at the gate you will receive your gold certificate for reaching the summit and there after head to mweka village where we will meet our driver who will take you back to your hotel for a long rest.
