Day 1 (Dec 28): Moshi – Gate to Mandara Hut

Your day starts with a transfer to Marangu Gate (1,860 m) for park check-in before we guide your trek into the vibrant rainforest. We pace your 4-to-5-hour hike to Mandara Hut (2,700 m), pointing out native wildlife like colobus monkeys along the trail. Once at camp, your guide can escort you on a short excursion to Maundi Crater to soak in the scenery.

This day begins with Tanzania Safari Radar team guiding your trek across the vast, barren alpine desert saddle connecting Mawenzi and Kibo Peaks up to Kibo Hut (4,700 m). Upon arrival in the early afternoon, our mountain chef serves an early, nutrient-dense dinner so you can rest until 11:00 PM, when our guides wake you for tea and lead your midnight New Year's Eve summit ascent.

  • Cancellation Policy before 2 months: Full refund minus minimal administrative bank charges.
  • Cancellation Policy before 58 days to 1 month: full refund of the deposit amount or free reschedule options.
  • Cancellation Policy before 27 days to 2 weeks: 80% + Bank charges refunded applied or free to credit memory for future safari.
  • Cancellation Policy before 13 days to 1 week: 60% + Bank charges refunded applied or free to credit memory for future safari.
  • Cancellation Policy before 6 to 1-Day: 40% + Bank charges refunded applied or free to credit memory for future safari.
