This is a hiking attraction encompassed by Kilimanjaro National Park, the Africa's highest peak with 5,895m above the sea level with several distinct ecological zones: Cultivation, Rainforest, Heath and Moorland, Alpine Desert, and Arctic Zones. Particularly to this 1-day hiking it cover 2 first zones: Cultivation & Rainforest Zones from the last village before starting point to the first day stop-over(camp/hut) depending the route selected. This day hiking involve 3 routes that is: Marangu, Machame and Lemosho routes.

A short one day hike on Mount Kilimanjaro covering the forest via: Marangu to Mandara Hut, Machame to Machame Camp, Lemosho(Londorossi) to Shira 1/Cathedral for a high altitude experience and back to gate then Moshi town or Arusha city.

1 Day Kilimanjaro Hiking Departure

Kilimanjaro Day-Trip: Marangu - Mandara Hut - Back To Moshi

Transfer from Moshi (07:00am to 08:30am) to Marangu gate about 1800m. Enter the park and complete your registration, hike (midium fitness) through the rainforest for estimated 3-4hrs to Mandara Hut(2720m above the sea level), stop for picnic lunch and Maundi crater & Kibo peak view. Descend back for about 3hrs to Marangu entrance gate, check-out and get a drive back to Moshi town.

1-Day Kilimanjaro: Machame Gate - Machame Camp - Back To Moshi

This is a hiking on Mt.Kilimanjaro via Machame route to the first camp(Machame camp), daily departure at 07am, drive for 1hr to Machame gate, stop for registration and permit access. The hiking starts at Machame gate at 1800m and distance to cover to Machame camp is 11km(22km round trip) which will take 4-5 hours for each ascend and descend. A hike will take you through the vegetation zone montane forest where you can take photos and generally enjoy the adventures in a single day.

Kilimanjaro Day Tour: Lemosho - Shira 1/Cathedral - Back To Moshi

This Kilimanjaro day hike takes you up to the vast Shira Plateau at 3600m above the sea level via Londorossi route from the gate a start hiking to Shira 1 and descend the same way back to Moshi. Typically the departure done at the office in Moshi town at 05am then drive for approx 3hrs to the srarting point(Londorossi gate), after registration and parmit confirmation you will your hiking with a professional guide for about 5-6hrs to cover 11km ascending to Shira 1. At Shira 1 the lunch will saved and later starting descend back to starting point (gate) which takes about 3-4hrs and get drive back to Moshi-Town.
