3.When is the best time to visit Tanzania ?

Now that’s an excellent question! The best time to visit will highly depend on your destination as there are different attractions at different times and in different areas all around the country. There is really no single answer to this question but it is argued that the dry season (from late June to February ) is the most popular time for a Tanzania safari with all the trimmings. During this dry season, animals congregate near water sources putting predators and prey in close proximity and this always give a chance for some exciting game viewing. Because of water shortages in this season the vegetation always thins, thus improving visibility of animals.
In popular parks like the Serengeti national park, peak time is between June and September when the great migration is active, in January and February it is calving season which can be very exciting as different predators prey on the fragile and naïve new borns, the lowest season in this park is between march and April which is the wet season and the park is usually empty but in this season there is the return of migratory bird species, a big draw card for all the twitchers out there.
Tanzania’s ‘green season’, between November and March, is much quieter in most parks. While there’s a chance of rain showers, it’s a fantastic time for bird watching as migratory species arrive in their thousands.

  • safari?

    6. How safe is the food and water in Tanzania?

In Tanzania all standard restaurants are clean and the food is safe. The only thing is make sure you don't drink water from tap and don't eat fruits without wash.Tanzanians are big meat-eaters, but that doesn't mean that vegetarians should go hungry. When making reservations for safari lodges and camps, make your hosts aware of your dietary taste. You can do this either directly or through your operator or travel agent. Bear in mind that many of these lodges are a great distance away from towns where special foodstuffs can be purchased, so supplies need to be purchased in advance. If there are vegetarian guests, they need to make adjustments to their shopping list ahead of schedule, and you'll enjoy a more exciting culinary experience if you give prior warning.

    7.How should I dress in Tanzania ?

Tanzanians are conservative and their dressing reflects this. They are quite religious, with the majority of the population being either Christian or Muslim. People living in cities are more liberal about what they wear but the general rule is wearing clothes that do not expose too much.
When out on safari, you want to avoid wearing colors that do not occur naturally in nature. White, black, blue and other bright colors attract the attention of the animals and you might easily spook away the animals if you are in close range.it is also worth noting that dark colors like black and blue attract TseTse flies and expose you to a higher likelihood of being bitten.
All in all, Casual, comfortable clothes are the key when travelling in Tanzania.
