Moshi city tour

Moshi town is the capital of Kilimanjaro region and the starting point for all climbers who opt to embark on an adventure to Kilimanjaro Mountain, the town is also the second largest tourism hub in Tanzania with a large number of tourists frequenting it from time to time. The town’s history goes way back during the German era as they built it as their colonial settlement and military camp. the town is a perfect spot for travelers who wish to know more about Swahili culture. Getting around this incredible city will get you across numerous local cafes with delicious Tanzanian cuisine and lots of curio shops where you can buy memorable souvenirs. A tour around this town doesn’t end in day time only, night time is also full of lights and vigorous. many fun activities can be done as bars, clubs and restaurants open up for business. ITINERARY
Turn yourself into a typical Moshi citizen for a day and get around every corner around this stunning city with the amazing view of Mount Kilimanjaro. Your guide will pick you around 7:30am and your adventure will start. the day will consist of many stops as you make your way around local markets, street food corners, coffee shops, curio shops and railway station. This day you will also meet a local tailor for your very own customized Africa wear!! Your day will end around 01:00 afternoon where you will head back to your hotel.

Day trip to Chemka hot springs

Whether you’re a local or a visitor, one of the best things to do in a city is escape for a while. And sometimes all you need is a day to recharge, and a tour to the Chemka hot springs may just be the perfect relaxing activity to do while in Moshi or arusha. The natural springs are hidden in the desert plains just outside boma town and to get there will take about 2 hours from Moshi. The famous springs are dotted for the crystal-clear turquoise water and the stunning view of the majestic Kilimanjaro Mountain while here. This is a perfect spot for an afternoon bath while enjoying the beautiful sounds of the bird.
ITINERARY
Sit down, lean back and enjoy the wind in your hair as you journey to Chemka, the road may be bumpy and dusty so make sure you strap in your belt. The road will take you through the beautiful scenery and you will get a glimpse of how the normal Tanzanian goes about their day. After arriving at the springs, you may take a look around and enjoy the breathtaking views of the enchanting forest that surrounds the springs. The crystal-clear turquoise water will sure lure in, you may choose to get in your swim wear and get in or you may choose to lay around and enjoy the mesmerizing surroundings. Lunch will be offered at your requested time and thereafter you may opt to go on swimming or retire for the day and head back to your hotel in Moshi/arusha

Materuni day trip

Materuni is known for its beautiful scenery and abundance of coffee plantations, as well as being a family-friendly area. The village main highlight is the materuni waterfalls located 2,500 above sea level. The crystal-clear water pours 70 meters into its basin. While in materuni you will get a chance to explore about the chaggas culture, their traditional way of making coffee, their beautiful fruits plantations without forgetting their local wine known as mbege.
ITINERARY
Located just 15 kilometers away from the town of Moshi, you will only take 1.5-hour drive to the village if your drive begins in Moshi, but if you start from arusha you might take 2.5 hours. After reaching the village you will immediately begin your tour by exploring the chagga land, your guide will give you insights on their beautiful culture as you feast your eyes on the beautiful landscape full of local fruits and vegetables, you will then head over to the coffee makers, and learn how to make coffee from seed, they will show you how to grind and roast them and finally make a fresh cup of coffee, You will then begin your short trek to the waterfalls, while doing so , don’t hesitate to ask more questions about the local people and their culture as there are lot of new things you might learn and even find fascinating. The waterfall splashes into the pool where you may decide to swim or just stare at the mesmerizing sight. A tasty picnic lunch will be offered before or after the swim, that will depend on your choice.

Day trip to lake chala

For fresh air and even stunning surroundings join the amazing tour to lake chala which is also known as lake dschalla, the lake is believed to be the largest inland water body in Africa. Famous for its color changing throughout the year ranging from turquoise and green, the lake is mainly supplied with water by underground springs that originates from Mount Kilimanjaro. Visiting this hidden gem will let you experience the true beauty of nature from the undisturbed forest, magnificent volcanic savannah, lush lake shore, open grasses and finest bush. While here you can also spot different species of butterflies and birds. The lake harbors the critically endangered fish species known as lake chala tilapia (Oreochromis hunter), crocodiles also habituated in the lake, it is believed they were first introduced to the lake in 1930’s by E.S Grogan, a British explorer who gain popularity by walking from cape town to Cairo in 1898, although in the early 1990s fishermen began a special program to eradicate them. Since 2002 there are no records of crocodiles in the lake.
ITINERARY

Spend the day exploring the area around the lake, and we highly advice to put on sturdy footwear as the area is quite rocky. You might get lucky and spot animals like baboons, vervet monkeys and blue monkeys, birds like African fish eagle, verreaux eagle and augur buzzards are also common in the area. Kilimanjaro day hike

It's fair to say that Kilimanjaro is one of the most beautiful mountains in the world. This mountain is famous for its stunning views, diverse eco system, and amazing weather. don’t miss this one-day trip to the majestic mountain using the marangu route, the hike will end up in mandara hut, and along the way you will enjoy amazing quietness of the rainforest with unique bird sounds and other mystical sounds all around.
ITINERARY
MOSHI – MARANGU GATE – MANDARA HUT
We will start our day by a smooth drive from Moshi to marangu gate, the ride will take an hour, and along the way the sublime and delightful surroundings will keep your eyes busy. After arrival at the gate your guide will handle all the formalities and your short brisk three hours trekking to mandara hut will begin. On the path through the rain forest; colobuses, blue monkeys, mongoose and a good number of birds can be spotted, you might also meet other tired hikers who will be descending from the summit, just say hi and may be get a minute to ask about their experiences. After three hours of walking, you will make your final stop at mandara hut, here you will catch a breath and get your tasty lunch, after that your guide will take you for a 15 minutes’ walk to maundi crater, where there’s a perfect view of Mount Kilimanjaro on a clear day. After your captivating day in the area, you will start your descent back to marangu gate where a vehicle will be waiting for your transfer back to your hotel in Moshi.
